From what I understand, the triggers can be seemingly very inconsequential to a "normie". Also the restraints for the sanity controls on such people can be exceedingly hair trigger for some events and near bulletproof for other events.
In your experiences, just encountering the trigger setup evoked the she-devil.
Thinking more, the she devil could also be a coping device, a learned series of behaviors.......
