Still disappointed the dual motor won't be anywhere near $50k... but maybe Tesla is just capturing money from the big spenders willing to pay more to be first, and will substantially reduce the price later on. I expected the $50k to increase to $60k due to the 20% inflation in the last 2 years, but not to $80k.
I'm surprised vehicles with a lot of interest don't have the first, say 10,000 sold at auction to the highest bidder. There's someone out there with too much money that would spend a million to have the 1st production truck, and plenty that would pay $150k to not wait.
