Here in Reno the bottom dry rots or is insect damaged after about 4 years. I found painting the bottom in roofing cement allows even a dry hole dirt set to survive. 10 years so far on some I did this way even re using the existing concrete. My new favourite is concrete filled 2" galvanized water pipes
