I'm sure it depends on where you are. As I mentioned above my parents were paying AT&T $60 a month for a copper landline a decade ago. Today they only have one option of cable / internet and it is $50 a month for internet only.


Today, I'm paying ziply fiber $25 a month for 100 Mbps fiber optic internet. Before that I was paying xfinity $35 a month for 300 Mbps service. We still do have a copper landline option here which is offered for $39.99 a month
