Your last statement is incorrect. As I already showed, injustice has prevailed.
Chattel slavery is not a case of individual exploitation- it's a case of systemic exploitation, and therefore the solutions should be systemic.
It wasn't outlaws who exploited slaves- it was legalized exploitation. So, again, the solutions should be systemic.
The US benefited from the systemic exploitation of slaves- as in, the collective benefited, therefore the collective is who should make reparations.
We know which group of people was wronged, and that those wrongs caused lasting generational harm, therefore we know what group is owed reparations.
