So I redid my rear box cavity fins and angled them in a little more with a heat gun and put rivet nuts in for better grip and less rusting. The rivets push the fins out just a tad and you can see a very very slight air slit in some parts. Is this an issue? Does it need to be fully “ air tight” or will sealing versus not sealing it completely make a difference since the boundary layer is thicker at the very end of the car?

Same goes with the wheel skirts. A few very narrow open areas but most air flows over the edge based on dirt patterns and all that. Again, also at the end of car with thicker boundary layer

Should I be concerned?
