Through all it's prior excursions, Earth's climate has never entered a runaway greenhouse. But that's not at all necessary for our extinction.
The new factoids for me:
- The climate equator is 10 degrees North of the geographical equator.
- The Nothern hemisphere is 1.4 degrees (prolly Celsius) warmer than the Southern.
Conclusion: There will be more ice-free real estate in Antartica.
