Even though the C/K GMT400 didn't differ its appearance too much from the 1500 to the 2500 or 3500, in contrast to the Silverado which got different bodystyles for the 1500 and the bigger models, a modern 1500 still ends up being larger than a GMT400, even if such GMT400 is a 2500. In countries such as Brazil where the GVWR limit for a car driver license is stricter, it became a major PITA when Ford switched from the Aeronose to the early Super Duty, having to rate the F-250 with a lower payload than the F-1000 (basically a regional variation of the F-250 which looked like a F-150 with its short bed).

A rebadged Renault Clio will be the replacement for the Euro-spec Mirage.
