Similar to my experience in the Superbeetle. Temps dropped about 20 degrees while I was in a movie theater and I encountered solid ice on a freeway onramp. Impacted the guard rail on the right, but the guardrail on the left saved my life. Fifty feet further and i'd have been ejected backward into the freeway lane.
Had to fight my own insurance company to avoid a rebuilt title.
