Now I'm thinking:
What happens if you combine the solar reflective paint discussed elsewhere with Vertical Bifacial Solar Panels:

The 'roof' would still have a very good 'view' of space, plus some shade for a lot of the day
AND
Should improve the output from the solar panels..?
IIRC Solar actually uses the IR frequencies best radiated by this paint..?
ie: You would be turning some of the house or even car heat into electricity..?!
