Not all phone providers. Nv telco has land lines for the people who for some reason still use them. However out of the 50 pair bundle on the pole outside there is perhaps only 5 pairs of odd color combinations still useable. That's what the lineman said when I asked who was still using landlines. As those pairs fail, somebody is gonna lose their desk phone.
Not sure how you connect a portable phone to an antenna anymore, the last one I could was on the Nokia that had an external one. Still works after 20 years
You have cable TV? That's how I connect anymore but there's Musks system for waaay out in the boonies. My Son has a dish for some local system, pointed either downtown or at the local broadcast mountain. I hear there's a system that uses your mobile phone to provide requests and signal is sent back via the airwaves.
There's no option for privacy on any of these systems. They were tapping phone lines back in the '30s, almost a hundred years ago.
