No thety dont.
They have an inferior lubrication system to car engines.
if
This works in an engine with an inferior lubrication system
then
What is the likely outcome in an engine with a superior lubrication system?

Here let me help you:
If the oil pump pickup has a very fine sieve, the sludge loosened by the extremely slippery boron layer forming underneath it loosens the sludge and said sludge is prone to block the fine sieve, leading to oil starvation in the pressure fed bearings in the engine.

This is an issue I discovered in VW engines only, by doing practical ground level research of my own. Which I then wrote about here.
I recommend it! Give it a try!
