Problem with inverted quads is the motor controllers wont operate in reverse. NO reverse no inverted thrust. In a helicopter you can go very negative angle of attack, which you could probably do in a multi rotor RPV via a hollow shaft motor system, but no one seems to have bothered with those or full reversing motor controllers. More than you cared to know
