She is amazing and I love her.
We never have enough time together.
I don't have clinicals on Friday, so I planned on driving to Show Low that morning, but Mom didn't get out of urgent care until almost midnight the night before, and she had me drive her to her dental appointment Friday morning.
She would normally have my brother-in-law drive her.
He is paid to help with my brother, but just lays on the couch and uses more data than I do and I am here way more.
The dentist is my sister's friend's brother and I believe they go there, too.
The dentist allegedly gives us a 50% friends and family discount, but when Mom got out, she said the dentist told her she had a cracked tooth, and needs a crown.
He isn't available for 7 weeks and charges $2,000.
He does not do same-day crowns, so she would need to wait weeks.
I found a dentist who does same-day crowns because whenever I have a temporary crown, despite being careful, it always breaks or comes loose--usually multiple times.
Mom sent me to the store for something for her sinus headache and my sister said "It's not a sinus headache, you have covid!"
The state also pays my 18-year-old nephew to help with my brother--and he also lays on the couch entertaining himself with rectangles, but he showed up hours early on Thursday, left, and then my brother-in-law sent us a text asking if everyone was sick.
Not me or my brother.
My wife has a chronic health problem and, unfortunately, the medication she received was part of a study, which is ending, so it is getting worse and worse, but that doesn't have anything to do with my brother-in-law.
My brother and I are fine.
Since my sister insisted Mom had coronavirus, I took Mom to urgent care, which was full of real sickos, and she was diagnosed with an earache.
As soon as we got home, she messaged my brother-in-law, and he replied that he wasn't feeling well.
My wife pointed out that he has laid on my couch using my wifi when he was sick and when my wife and I were sick.
Illness hadn't prevented him from collecting the government's money before.
Mom said that she has hurt since her last appointment and believes the dentist broke her tooth.
I was in horrible pain after my last appointment. He gave me a filling, but didn't shape it to match the opposite teeth, the filling was high, and kept hitting the other teeth, which hurt worse and worse, even though I stopped eating on that side.
I had two crowns fall out after starting grad school and when the second happened, I found my guy, who charged $2,010 for two same-day crowns.
When I was in horrible pain, I got the first appointment I could, which was before clinicals an hour away, and they quoted $4,000 for a root canal and crown, claiming that everyone else would pay $7,500.
I forget how much I paid with my guy, I think that it was much more than $1,200, but still significantly less than $2,000, and I expected it to go up this year, but hopefully Mom get her crown for $1,200.
She has an appointment on Monday.
She said she could take an Uber, which would have been at least $18 each way, but she wouldn't have had anyone to watch my brother during her appointment.
My wife wasn't feeling well today and I stopped what I was doing to hold her a few times.
She is a wonderful lady and I wish that I knew how to help.
