* Brake-life ( wood ): less than 62-km, requiring finding a cobbler, to create shoe-leather friction-lining to complete outbound and return legs of journey.
* Uphill driving required 'pushing the car'
* Drive-chain required the capabilities of an along-route blacksmith
* Open crankcase, drip-lubrication system, 'API-SA' SAE 30W oil '
