There's some kind of disconnect associated with my first two points:
1) My name is Philip Knox, not R. Buckminster Fuller, so obviously any notion that I know anything about my world is 'hubris.'
2) I've seen zero talk of embracing any of Fuller's ideas about housing, as related to disaster reconstruction or climate adaptation. Are you experiencing something out there that I'm missing?
I observed the construction of my neighbor, Bob Widmer's geodesic dome home.
I'd never seen the level of waste, in dimensional lumber, exterior sheathing materials, roofing, trim, drywall, and floor tile.
Equally challenging was thermal breaks, insulation, furniture, mattresses, wiring, windows, doors, skylights.
