Sounds like your neighbor didn't know what he was doing. All those issues have solutions. Dimensional materials get trimmed, but there's 70% as much to start. When my parents sheet rocked their dome, the scraps filled a five gallon bucket, a point of pride for them.

I believe that my knowledge of some things exceeds that of Fuller, especially with respect to 'climate', climate-related structure losses, and probabilities that 'destroyed' buildings will NOT be replaced by geodesic structures or 'grain silos' as envisioned by Fuller.
