To me it sort of matters, but in a negative way. Of course I'd like good aerodynamics, but since the automakers don't seem to be all that interested, that really doesn't enter into the equation. There are certain "looks" that I wouldn't buy at all without proof that they offer major advantages, like for instance the current "musclebound" style (think Chevy Volt or the current Chryslers), or the truck front ends that try to make it look like a penis.
Then there's the whole jacked up and stretched vertically thing, of which the Smart is a prime example. I want low & sleek, not a modernized version of the Model T :-)
