Does automobile styling matter to you?
I found this on Honda's Insight blog. It is much as I expected. I was curious to see if the percentages differed much on EM.

I would expect most ecomodders put function over form.

style is so subjective anyway.
I want it to be stylish in my eyes - so i picked sort of..
but my ideas of style may be more functional than artistic.

Quite true Doofus. I find myself definitly swaying to the functional side of styling. However, I also had to say 'sort of'. If I was really a die hard I'd have a duct tape grill block on the Paseo, and I don't. I have a piece of white coroplast waiting to be cut to size for it instead.

That is my motto: Function over form, then form it to function properly!
Example: My first grill block was a white piece of coroplast cut to fill the middle grill on my car, then I immediately painted it black to not stand out. A few months after installing it I came across a very nice aftermarket grill insert (basically drilled aluminum) for a 03-05 Eclipse. I was so close in shape to my grill that I trimmed it to fill in the entire grill on my car, covering over the Coroplast. So it looks like I have a grill insert in my lower grill but I really have a grill block covered by an insert. So it looks nice and stock but performs its function flawlessly.

I voted "no" but should have said "sort of" after reading some of the comments. I also want my mods to look like they have some sort of craftsmanship to them. Is that "styling" though? Debatable.

To me it sort of matters, but in a negative way. Of course I'd like good aerodynamics, but since the automakers don't seem to be all that interested, that really doesn't enter into the equation. There are certain "looks" that I wouldn't buy at all without proof that they offer major advantages, like for instance the current "musclebound" style (think Chevy Volt or the current Chryslers), or the truck front ends that try to make it look like a penis.
Then there's the whole jacked up and stretched vertically thing, of which the Smart is a prime example. I want low & sleek, not a modernized version of the Model T :-)

People tell me I don't have any style. Why should my car be any different?

Voted absolutely as it will have to be very functional to make me accept a style I don't like.
Since a few weeks, my preferred style changed... my preference now go to cars that looks like as having a better aero style to me.
I saw a German car Friday and was so attracted I couldn't identify to logo. While looking at the car overtaking me, I was clearly seeing the air-flow from the front to the rear, over and on the sides of the car
