But the GM is a full on corporate backed example, versus private attempt. GM spent lots on their Land Speed Record cars in the late 90's early 00's, and now they're going bankrupt...
anywho, a little side note: Economy cars aren't great for high speed testing, long wheel based narrow cars are what rules the high speed world. In a regular Honda Coupe, anywhere over 140mph, things start to get VERY squirrely. I do admit high speed testing would be a very nice way to test out aero mods... if only there was more places to try this.
also, all this talk of Honda Coupes, the 5th gen. was listed at .32 :-) beating it's older, and it's second youngest siblings.
