even though the civic is still stock bodied im sure its mid 20's CoD. Compare it to the Hondata RSX which has a completely aero'd front end.

But the GM is a full on corporate backed example, versus private attempt. GM spent lots on their Land Speed Record cars in the late 90's early 00's, and now they're going bankrupt...
anywho, a little side note: Economy cars aren't great for high speed testing, long wheel based narrow cars are what rules the high speed world. In a regular Honda Coupe, anywhere over 140mph, things start to get VERY squirrely. I do admit high speed testing would be a very nice way to test out aero mods... if only there was more places to try this.
also, all this talk of Honda Coupes, the 5th gen. was listed at .32 :-) beating it's older, and it's second youngest siblings.

I've been out to the salt of Bonneville twice, crewing on two different cars, and have met some great folks in the process.
If you've never been, even if you don't give a hoot about racing, you should step out of the cyberworld and go some August or October. If for no other reason, than go for the eye candy hardware and the chance to chat with some very interesting guys (and gals like 'Land Speed Louise' Noeth) You certainly gain a different perspective on homebrewed areo packages and what is possible.
Check out these Land Speed Racing sites for more on the cars of Bonneville

Noone noticed the RPM ranges that the Acura was running?
It's at 9400 RPM.. chances are, it wasn't making peak power or torque there, so find out what power it was making there, and quantify your data from that.

on a modified k20..... you know as well as I you can make power up to about 10,000rpm on one of those with the right tune.

I'd have to watch the video again, but IIRC, it just seemed like the power was dropping off by the time it was up that high in the RPM range. (Timing the speed of engine acceleration)
I wasn't using a bunch of scientific software and stuff to figure it out, though, I was just watching the tach.

the RSX in that video has a front end with less treatment than the civic, its just been smoothed straight down, the civic has a downforce airdam, the rsx has just mostly had the grill smoothed in. have you ever seen an rsx? they look like that!
