I've been out to the salt of Bonneville twice, crewing on two different cars, and have met some great folks in the process.
If you've never been, even if you don't give a hoot about racing, you should step out of the cyberworld and go some August or October. If for no other reason, than go for the eye candy hardware and the chance to chat with some very interesting guys (and gals like 'Land Speed Louise' Noeth) You certainly gain a different perspective on homebrewed areo packages and what is possible.
