Actually there was a guy that did make a formula ford street legal. You can get any gear ratios for a Hewland gearbox so he did make one setup for road driving. I drove mine on the road once after I put a diffrent gear set in. Sometimes you can put the cluster gears on backwards so I diin't know back then. Now I can do it blindfolded in 15min, start to finish all four gears. Our first gear is like 3rd gear in a street car, so I didn't shift much, just drove it around the neighborhood.
