i wouldn't be too sure about that, over here in belgium it's often used to make window inserts so you can have the bedroom window open in summer without letting mousquitos in

its mostely a grey plastic like material and in some places they'll cut it to the size you want... i've used this in some grill block experiments, although i don't have it on my car now
