It's Based on a english ford Kent block, was never in a pinto or a mustang as was anything that looked like it. I don't know what a Cossie is, in racing circles we don't call it a Cosworth, just a BDA which is a size/application designation 1600cc's Formula Atlantic, there are many others; BDD, BDH,BDX,BDJ,BDM, each one has a size and an application. Very good reliable engine. For the pump drive that you see there are diffrent diameters and or teeth to slow or speed up the pump so that it doesn't cavitate depending a RPM rquirements. For instance the BDA's top rpm is 9500, the little BDJ is 1100cc's and spins at 12,000rpm so a larger pully is used. this way we can adapt these for this electric motor drive we are speaking of.
