Assuming that Fiero has a 250 Amp hour battery capacity (generous estimate - couldn't find the specs on the battery type he listed), and he goes to 80% depth of discharge (not good for long life), he'd be consuming 342 Watt hours per mile (at the pack) to go 70 miles. That's doable, but at a fairly low speed.
