Last years resolution was to make my a-bodies more fuel efficient. First I tried the Smack booster and O2 modifier which did not work, and the map sensor modifier which may have worked just a hair but not even 1mpg result. Then I joined this site and what I have learned here has gotten me great success.
For 2009:
I want to regularly get 40+ tank mpg with the Celeb, at least with downstate trip weekends, it not all the time. Ive gotten over 40 a handful of times over the trip, but by the time I needed to fill up I would just miss it. The week before it was time to park it, I was getting better than ever, getting over 40 downstate and 35 every day to work and back. I want to make a detachable kammback for the trunk lid, that should help. Also possibly a detachable convex nose shape.
35 mpg with the wagon would be nice for downstate and back. Since the mpguino Ive gotten 32 max. Used to get 28 max. I think the upper grille opening, roof rack crossbars, and rear wing are the first things that need to go. An airdam would really help but would not last long with the snow and ice I have to plow through.
I also want to finish the Boyce style HHO box, but only just to have finished it. Im not really expecting anything from it.
I would also like to convince at least one other person I know to try some techniques and/or mods.
