Yeah, you're right. I was only half paying attention and doing part of my taxes at the same time... itemizing over $10k in deductions takes alot of patience and concentration when it's all mileage and unreimbursed costs linked to a defunct employer.

Anyway - what I meant to say there was:

Adding a layer of wax will make the stuff cleaner/easier to remove when you're done, but might affect adhesion.

Using a good bug, tar, and wax remover (goof off, paint prep stuff) before you put the tape on will improve adhesion, and the parts may stay on there longer.

You should always remove the wax and give that spot a good hand buffing with cleaners or windex before you apply the tape.
