Adding a layer of wax will improve adhesion? Somehow I doubt it.

I always scrub the area desired for adhesion with a light cleaner, then re-wax after sticking things on.

Well, it looks like this won't be happening today... maybe tomorrow night.

It's been snowing all day and I forgot I have to go get my wheels balanced tomorrow.

Yeah, you're right. I was only half paying attention and doing part of my taxes at the same time... itemizing over $10k in deductions takes alot of patience and concentration when it's all mileage and unreimbursed costs linked to a defunct employer.

Anyway - what I meant to say there was:

Adding a layer of wax will make the stuff cleaner/easier to remove when you're done, but might affect adhesion.

Using a good bug, tar, and wax remover (goof off, paint prep stuff) before you put the tape on will improve adhesion, and the parts may stay on there longer.

You should always remove the wax and give that spot a good hand buffing with cleaners or windex before you apply the tape.
