My bet: IF the BlueMotion diesel version even crosses the pond, it's going to cost a bit more than $15K US for that technology.

Edit: My 2nd bet: IF the Polo comes here, we'll only get the highest output gasoline engine. Europeans will have their choice of 5 engines, gas & diesel. Feeling cynical this morning
