I always run the sidewall max at the very minimum in all of my cars except in unusual weather.

My electric cars have

60psi in the van the tires are rated at 44psi

My comutacar has 60psi tires which I run up to 70psi in

My dodge crewcab usually has 50-60psi in tires are rated at 50psi

My Buick and Jetta have 40-50psi (35ish PSI rating)

I found especially on the Miles ZX40 that my range and speed improved greatly moving from 32psi up to 50psi and then to 60psi and yes I can notice a real difference in the form of an extra few MPH on the top speed.
