That is 157% over the rating for the tire, no blowouts or unusual tire wear yet, and I've had them on the Lemon for a year and a quarter. I have hit potholes that could swallow a car, and traveled 100+ miles at a time, still no issues. Maybe I'm just lucky .
Nice! I think I'll go to 55 psi soon.

I run 40psi on all car tires irregardless of what the tire says. My tires all wear perfectly even, across the block and I don't see a need to change this considering the roads I travel have some unexpcted obstacles that require the tires have a LITTLE give to them or they will blow out.

Potholes, etc.

Actually, tires with more pressure have less problems blowing out. It is suggested by Tire Rack to increase tire pressure in spring with all the potholes.

Interesting, I didn't hear that before. You may be right though, years back I was forced to eat a curb by a police officer that was about to slam into me chasing somebody and the front tire running 40 psi didn't blow out, but the rear tire running 35 did. I mean it could all be a matter of physics or it could be that the higher pressure saved the front tire.

Don't get me wrong, I run really over inflated tires, but some people can't stand the added road noise. I just have no problem ignoring it, though I still notice it. I always keep a properly inflated spare tire and a can of Fix-a-Flat in my car, because everyone should be a good Boy Scout and "Be Prepared".
Just because you over inflate your tires doesn't mean you can neglect them, thinking they will take care of themselves. They have to be watched even closer. Just my $0.02.

Michelin Rainforce MX4 all seasons, 35psi sidewall. I run them at 42 in the summer and 35 in the winter. No wear or handling problems at all.

I run sidewall max in all of my cars all of the time.
Currently 44 in the Metro and Avalon and 37 in the Jetta. (It came with some weird off brand tires and when they wear out we will get better ones.)

I always run the sidewall max at the very minimum in all of my cars except in unusual weather.

My electric cars have

60psi in the van the tires are rated at 44psi

My comutacar has 60psi tires which I run up to 70psi in

My dodge crewcab usually has 50-60psi in tires are rated at 50psi

My Buick and Jetta have 40-50psi (35ish PSI rating)

I found especially on the Miles ZX40 that my range and speed improved greatly moving from 32psi up to 50psi and then to 60psi and yes I can notice a real difference in the form of an extra few MPH on the top speed.

The glaciers have receded from the frozen steppes.

I am back up to 100 psi.

The truck coasts well again.
