Very creative design. I could see something like that happening. Can you come up with an example trailer hitch connection, and maybe make the top transparent for rear view?
I would ditch the "inner door" and make the top or side openable/lockable on it's own. That way, the interior "rain integrity" of the iQ would not be compromised. What I like about the trailer hitch is that it would increase the effective carrying capacity of the "boxtail" (ha ha, that's what I would call it).
