Are you trying to make it faster or conserve fuel?

I believe there is a gap in bodywork under the engine. An undertray would benefit you here. If you are aiming for speed you could build a full set of tunnels under it, rules permitting.

As for the vortex generators question, there is a gent on the Airtab website who put them across the back of the deck lid & down the rear quarter panels. He claims in the neighborhood of 2-3 mpg increase. Which if true, should help in both departments.
