gods of hypermiling were smiling

We've all had those incidents---people that tailgate and won't pass, catching a leadfoot at the next light etc. Today was stellar.....

In my 13 mile commute there are 17 traffic lights, not sycronized. I do it at the sme time every day and am familiar with many vehicles that make a similar commute. As soon as I turned on to the main road to begin my commute, I noticed the red firebird stopped at the light ahead. I coasted, the light changed, the f-bird flew off the line, and I proceeded. THIS HAPPENED 15 MORE TIMES!

I drove 13 miles through, through 17 traffic signals without ever stopping! The firebird was just ahead of me when she turned off. What a great way to start the day.
