Simone Gertz is going in for brain surgery.
This popped up in my notifications and she already had 9,000 comments.

What, she didn't build a robot to complete the surgery?
Hope she recovers to full health soon. Don't want anything to affect her shoddy robot building skills.

Agrred. Nobody builds shoddy robots better. Love the Rube Goldberg sense of humor she brings. Laugh out loud sometimes. Hahaha, she want photos of her brain being operated on. Great irreverence, that.
Good luck, Ms. Giertz!

Never heard of her. Watched 2 videos and I think that pretty much does it for me. Wishing her a speedy recovery and best of luck in her next career.

If the surgery was for epilepsy, that would make her robot videos a lot more... poignant.

Cool. Somebody should become a patron of her work. Give her some real money and time so she can build something fabulously pointless. Her work is like a performance-sculptural commentary on convenience insistence and technology obsession.
I'd love for her to design me an "automatic door opening key fob." hahahaha! It could be perfect goofery.
