Description: |
At an estimate, the car produces somewhere in the region of 95-100bhp and around 105-110ft/lbs torque, and weighs around a tonne before I get in it.
I've owned the car since the summer of 2010 and it's my first and only car.
I try and take good care of it and keep it regularly serviced (I'm a believer in preventative maintenance!).
The car is mildy modified for better driveability with the following:
- SRI setup with heatshield and 2 cold air feeds
- Stainless cat-back exhaust
- Remapped
- Lowered
- 15x7 lightweightish (~7kg) rims on 195/45 tyres |

Current Mods: |
- Around 50% of bulbs replaced with LEDs
- Smaller, low profile wipers placed as low down on the windscreen as possible
- Moderatel overinflated tyres ~36psi
- Scangauge II fitted
- Remapped for more low to mid-range power and torque
- Lowered by around 30mm
- Not a mod but I tend to only put 10-20 litres of petrol in at a time to keep weight down
- Also not a mod but I've managed to keep my weigh at around 75-80kg which is a good 10-15 less than when I first signed up

Planned Mods: |
- More LED conversions
- Fit DRLs for low level light situations (negate need to use headlights)
- Remove mudflaps
- Custom front bumper with grille blocks and front lip
- Custom rear bumper with air release holes and diffuser fins
- Add undertrays where possible
- Sideskirts
- DTM cup mirrors
- A spoiler of some kind to aid seperation
- Experiment with vortex generators
- Volt stabilizer
- Smaller, lighter alloys that safely allow a drop back to 185mm tyres
- Partial stripping of interior for weight reduction
- Replacement parts for weight reduction (where plausible/sensible)
- Rear wiper delete
- Power steering delete
- A/C delete
- Lightweight battery |
