Bought it 12/15/2012, with 288,200 miles on original engine and tranny.
Rebuilt a D15B2 in November 2014 and replaced the HF engine with it. Keeping all the HF components hooked up to the newly rebuilt engine.
Build Thread:
Current Mods:
Mud flaps removed
Right windshield wiper removed (Driver's side changed to a 22" Bosch)
Spare tire/jack removed (Sometimes I have it in...)
EOC Kill switch Thread
Front license plate relocated Picture
Coolant fan removed
Smooth wheel covers
MPGuino Thread
Driving Techniques I use:
P&G (using EOC), whenever possible
DWL
plan trips/routes
drive back roads whenever possible
avoid using brakes
and I can't stand bothering people, so when I have people following, I'll hypermile minimally, or increase the top pulse speed to accomidate them.
Planned Mods:
88-89 front bumper?
Partial Belly Pan (as most is already good)
Left windshield wiper deflector
Rear wheel skirts
LRR tires
More of a WAI
Warm fuel before injectors
Partial grill block
Kammback
Non EcoModding Mods:
Hood locks
Cruse control (Already have it, just need to install it)
Civic arm rest box
Projector headlights
Angel eyes
Rear axle stabilizer bar
Paint cleaned up and a top coat added
Long Term Possibilities:
Electric hybrid conversion
EV conversion
That's all I can think of at the moment.
All mods will be reversible (even if that means getting replacement parts), as good looking as I can manage, and lots of care will be taken to preserve the quality of the CRX for years to come.
Suggestions and comments are always welcome.
