The need for a separate log for the same car springs from the switch to 240 volt charging from 120 volt charging. The charging efficiency is only 72% at 120 volts while it is 82% at 240 volts. The multipliers for on board kWh used are 1.23X versus 1.32X respectively which makes a difference in MPG e calculations.

Switched to 240 volt charging which only takes 2.4 hours versus 7 hours for 120 volt charging. This is not only more convenient but it makes for faster turn around times which can lead to more EV miles in some cases also.
