I read somewhere that a Hummer has a significantly smaller footprint in the environment than a Prius in it's lifetime because even though a hummer has very bad FE, the process in which Prius's batteries are made is very harmful to the environment. I don't know the link, but if someone did enough searching you could probably find it.

Not to get to off topic but article had many problems with the way they figured things one of which they base the life of a Prius at 100,000 miles and the hummer at 300,000 miles.

Good to know. I'm pretty sure that just looking at an H2 and a Prius Side-by-side can tell you the results
