I wonder... is there any way to use the ScanGauge to tell when the ECU has started enriching the mixture due to excessive throttle position? Obviously full throttle open loop is one sign, but are there earlier indications, such as ignition timing?

I think full throttle will be the tell tale sign, not much more complicated than that.

a favorite guage of mine is the LOD guage, which tells you the load percentage on the engine. I would assume keeping the LOD guage high in top gear when you need the power is the way to go..Too much on an auto, though, and you downshift.

That's just it, the loop gauge. I find that Open Loop happens consistently at >95 LOD on my car.
