Note that the Zzipper crouch (line 6) and the Easy Rider recumbent (line 7) have the same CdA of 2.9 so you can get the benefit either way. Aero bars are quite comfortable as are recumbents.

This list you posted and the article I started the thread with, aerohead, seem to agree that the small front fairing is helpful. But the Bicycle Quarterly article seems to think it is less beneficial than the list you posted. Probably different designs and testing parameters, yes?

We know that the IHPVA listed the Zipper as the fairing they tested.While increasing frontal area,from 3.9,to 4.1 sq-ft,it reduced the drag factor from 3.2,to 2.9 sq-ft.
I'm uncertain what Bicycle Quarterly tested.Somehow I missed something?

One photo in the Bicycle Quarterly piece seems to show a weird hodge-podge kinda little fairing not completely unlike the zipper... I think they were manipulating its shape a lot... I bet it is cardboard and duct tape! Haha.

I did see that,and in my mind,it didn't even qualify as a 'fairing'.
It's like a flea on an elephant.

I think that do not knowwhat the zipper fairing looks like.
