you and your welder might get along but i would stay away from a metal underbody

theyre really bad ass to look at, but it will weigh 5-10x that of a coroplast one

and the caprice/impala is heavy enough

ps: weight reduction (but you knew this already)

I mentioned the welder in terms of moving the exhaust out of the way for the coroplast

On my truck, I dropped the air dam 6.5" lower and bumped the bottom lip forward about 3". Installed a lower pan fer that so it's pretty smooth from there. Also, I put in some front tire air blocks...4" clearance from the ground. Just installed a 4x8 luan panel fer my belly pan. Installed some side skirts with about a 4-5" clearance from the ground. Original clearance was about 13". Working on buttoning up the rest of the bottom to the side skirts and to the rear as well as in between the front air dam and the front crossbar.

My average winter mileage is better than my average summer mileage so far...

Lower belly pan build, lowered air dam build...

one of the few indications increasing ground clearence is good for fe can be seen on the bristol figheter website
Bristol Cars - Homepage
(bottom left)

a very good looking car, that's not all that new, but it seems to be born from engineering that puts function before form, and thereby achieves a very attractive form!

Like I said from the get-go.

You have said a whole lot of nothing in this thread.

I believe that yer gonna just have to try them out and see what's gonna work fer you and what tools you have to determine if it's working fer yer project or not. Determining if it's working right is probably gonna be one of the hardest things to do...you'll just have to persevere...
