FWIW, I agree with Bondo's sentiments, but I also know this whole site runs perilously close to the chaos of political acrimony, so I have to respect Frank's wanting to keep the discussion squarely on cars/truck/caps/aero, etc.

We've seen some good threads go into the ditch over differences in political views.

my condolences everybody for saying, "keep trying to push the bill, the government cant ignore you forever." i had no idea that this website's bloggers had no political views especially seeing peoples posts on how gas is too expensive, etc. we are all just trying to help eachother out to pay as little as posible for gas. isnt that right? unless youre talking about supporting the troops then i dont know what everyones deal is, i just hope i never meet you on the street. brett, tell your brother i said thank you for his service and to keep safe but overall have fun. thats awesome how after 3 rigorous and stressful years you are still pursuing your dream after countless ups and downs. keep working on it. i will definitiley contact you when i get stateside. i appreciate the hospitality and support brett but i would like to pay in full. i would love to see the aerolid come together and selling me one at cost wont help your product out financially. a majority of Marines have trucks and when they see your product on my truck with a good size aerolid decal on it though, i'm sure that will help out the cause. which reminds me, i hope you will have a badass decal to sell to me when the time comes!

Great use for all those left over Christmas trees. Glad I had the roof on my Aerolid last Sunday night. I would have been shoveling something other than mulch out of my truck bed if not.

Got a nice compliment on the Aerolid at the National Western Stock Show last night - a pretty good truck market to say the least. The guy's going to be checking out your webpage. Bondo, have you made any headway getting someone to pick up the design and start manufacturing?

Nothing to report. Start -up venture capital for a manufactured durable good is almost non-existant. If you can come up with a gimmicky web site, facebook, groupon, etc. you will have investors knocking your door down to give you venture capital.

If you ask China what has been of pinnacle importance to thier economic success, they will say one word, manufacturing. Maybe that is why we have such a great trade imbalance with China and they own most of our debt, t-bills.

I am presently finalizing my patent on the Aeroild. After it is granted, I will have something of interest to a Venture Capitalist. Since the SEC stopped Goldman Sachs' preliminary sale of Facebook stock domestically, there may be hope to find one who is willing to invest in a fuel saving durable good.

Thanks for showing the Aerolid and keeping your fuel log current. The long term fuel efficiency road test you are compiling is invaluable. I have to put up a link to it below, for your numbers are impressive, especially those two 25 mpg tanks you got last summer.

I will continue to hammer at getting start up capital. It took King C. Gillette 17 years to get his safty razor up and going. With fuel prices going up and new CAFE standards around the corner, hopefully I won't have to wait that long.

You don't even want to know the effect of 40 CFR 63 on fiberglass layup operations.

Elkhart, IN used to be a stronghold of fiberglass fabrication in the 1980s and 1990s. Now only a couple of hold-outs survive. All gone to Mexico when IDEM/EPA made it tough to make fiberglass parts.
