Update

Its middle of winter here.

I trimmed down the lower side sections of the front airdam because it was scraping on the driveway. Then i also trimed the upper end corners so it would reduce frontal area and better deflect air around the front wheels.

I have also made side skirts. I placed them on the seam under the sills for simplicity.I Have also made rear wheels splats to aid in air flow around the rear tyres.

I don't want to come off as overly critical, but it seems like you could take that long piece of material that runs all the way down the sides of the car could be bent at a gentle angle after the front wheel well, then just before the rear wheel wells instead of just attaching a little spat kind of perpendicular to that side skirt. Any plans for real wheel skirts?

Im not going to make rear wheel skirts, i want all my mods to be "under the radar", and my car to look normal.
I do agree with you about making a bend in the skirt, but most car manufacturers have simple ones like mine. So ill follow suit as its much easier to build and attach them.

Thinking about buy these hub caps, there $26 (aus dollars) they look pretty aero to me. Thoughts?

they look pretty safe... fairly smooth with small holes for break cooling not that i imagine that's an issue on any normal car. so if you like the look and the price is right go for it... if you want perfect aero look for something wich is even more smooth or convert some tray ol lids. than again the impact on FE is likely very small, so while a noble effort to improve things i wouldn't go extreme. and in that case these will provide a nice improvement over a bare wheel and they look nice too

Here are a couple pics of my Festiva with my crude Kamm and skirts. Since these pics I have changed the angle of the Kamm and used all Aluminium tape.

Not sure if it is working yet, but I get a lot of looks!

I hope to see 3-5% but it is getting colder and my mpg is dropping as it always does, so I will keep it on for a year and get real data.

Ps. I just noticed the date of the previous post....so mine is a major BUMP, lol......
