I bought a 98 civic hx recently. I’m going thru it right now as the last owner didn’t maintain it very well. So timing belt, water pump, oil and valve cover gaskets, plugs and wires, cleaning injectors and egr system.

I have 3 sets of wheels to try out. Hx wheels(didn’t come with them), gen 1 insight wheels, and a set of gen 1 insight aluminum spare wheels. I’m assuming the insight wheels will be my best choice.

Maybe the reason for the reduced aeromodding is due to cost/benefit. Modern cars are more aerodynamic and any mod is going to make less of a difference. less "low hanging fruit"

Life has been keeping me crazy busy, but I did manage to add HX belly panels, a block heater and hybrid rims (winter set) to my 2012 civic lx AT. I have averaged 39.7mpg over the last 25,302 miles. I’m not driving to work anymore, so I picked up an $1,800 2005 pontiac vibe 1zz AT and plan to turn the civic back into cash. I’m already checking out the vibe threads here. The vibe will likely get baselined, then a tire pressure bump and a scangauge, then probably small stuff like mudflap delete and maybe an upper grill block. Oh, and I’m definitely going to have to add some sound insulation, it’s purdy noisy.

Any pics of the belly panels? That’s on my list of mods.

Who knows. Maybe we'll get some more members here soon. I'm getting more vibes of when I joined: weak economy, rising gas prices. I hear gas prices could hit $3 by the end of the year. Kinda sad considering it was $1.50 here about three months ago (now about 2.30/gal ish)!
At least I'm not making $7 an hour anymore while gas was $4 a gallon while driving a moped and a Ford Ranger that got 11 mpg. lol
