To the best of my knowledge no EVs are out with in wheel motors. Certainly not full size cars.

Doing the 'ICE' Aptera would have been capital intensive enough.
Going BEV is problematic, considering that the contained volume is already extremely challenged for 'putting' hardware inside.
Considering a 'solar' Aptera will be the 'coup de grace ', soon placing the whole enterprise in the dustbin of history alongside Lightyear.

Sometimes I lurk about a similar approach, swapping the body of an American full-size truck or SUV into the frame of an European-designed van.
