On a sidenote, besides protecting nearby components more sensible to heat, retaining more heat at the exhaust flow instead of allowing it to irradiate is often claimed to improve its flow.
this is an issue my cat will drop in temp when DFCO happens

Maybe a full exhaust wrap could be considered, as it would also likely allow you to get a grille block while fewer residual heat would be trapped at the engine bay.

unfortunately the cats are in the engine bay about a foot from the engine.

but I did some more looking under it at lest 30% is covered(what can be a belly pan)

i think it would be possible to work with the rear end belly pan

all i would have to do is close the gaps as it's just randoms things that are occupying a lot of space

gas tank on the right and muffler on the left

Why do you need to use only existing holes? It's a lot easier to drill new holes and insert rivnuts into them, allowing you to screw bolts straight into them.

Fair enough - but it will make it very hard to do a good job.
