Attaching a vacuum pump to the vacuum reservoir. If it doesn't have a vacuum reservoir, add on.

Yeah permanently disable the v8 mode by going to a 4 cylinder hybrid car.

.

Just add a reservoir (vacuum tank) and be done with it.

Take a scrap piece of 3.5”- 4” PVC pipe a couple of feet long, glue on some end caps then drill a hole to attach a fitting and connect to your existing vacuum system.

No need to delete anything and it won’t affect the smog test.

Easypeasy...

V=pi*Rsquared*height. So 3.14x4x12=150.72 cu inches a running foot for 4" pipe. My reservoir in the ranger is 2 ft long and I get 3 applications of the brakes on a leaky booster

Everything nicely tucked in above the frame including the drive shaft, tell the rear differential pumpkin.. slightly sticking out

also the belly pan would need an access panel for oil changes i do them every 4500 miles or so+- 100 miles
Figuring out how to get the access panel doesn't sound like rocket science. I'd still consider a belly pan.

Also, they make these really great things called screws. They make things easily removable.

i could always save up the money for the lower profile mirrors.from the newer model.

the belly pan is a good idea it will need some air flow to prevent the gas from boiling(i live in the desert it gets upto 110-115 in the summer 90-100f is common)..

how do go about fixing the rear as the air issue (the air from the underbody gets shot straight up in the air exiting from the rear end) i guess this could be a significant source of drag

Is there a high pressure fuel pump in the tank? This has largely removed vapor lock in modern cars. Also I believe there is a return line so fuel should always be circulating to the tank, helping keep the lines cool. Insulate the fuel lines if necessary.

Read up about rear diffusers. Ideally the rear 1/3 of the full belly pan should taper upward slightly. Aerohead has suggested 5 degrees above horizontal is best for low drag. This reduces lift and drag and helps fill the rear wake.

Belly pans from the manufacturers leave the exhaust uncovered. This allows heat to escape while giving much of the benefit of a belly pan.
