You have no idea how funny this is.
In the comment I am thinking of, the person, when specifically justifying the use of Aerohead's template, was applying his understanding of car aero to a Jaguar pressure diagram that I'd run in a video. But his interpretation of the colours in the diagram was completely reversed - he thought high pressures were low, and low pressures high. That was the result of applying the template that he'd been told so often here showed where there was attached and separated airflow.

Confirmation bias.

You're proving the point that Youtube comments are unvetted garbage. I don't doubt that there are other examples there.

I'd trust Views and Likes more than the comments.

I don't know why you say that. 90 per cent of the comments on my YouTube channel appear valid, including those showing understandings and misconceptions. And since I answer nearly every comment, there's often some back and forth discussion. YouTube does a good job of filtering out spam and similar stuff.

And remember, you're telling someone who posts here that their views are "unvetted garbage". In that case they certainly were garbage, but you're not usually so harsh on other posters!

I don't know of your channel specifically. It was a general observation. I do read comments for entertainment.

How can you know what Youtube filters? They get hours of new video every second, but the offering on their main page (tuned to my interests) don't change for days. Heavily vetted.

You'll be happy to know they highlight your videos for me.

We’re talking about the comments. I can see the comments they filter.

Are you seriously whining about how you are treated on this forum????

This just keeps getting funnier.

You seemed to have missed the point. The reference wasn't to me. Never mind.

To whom does this refer then?

And regarding the original topic, I intend doing a video soon on Kamm tails.

The latest SAE paper* on the topic (2020 published! - very rare to find new stuff published on the original low drag shapes), basically debunks so-called Kamm tails as a way to low drag.

(*I found the paper through a reference that Aerohead made to it here - thanks very much for that.)

The SAE guards their copyright fiercely but there is no copyright on facts, so I will be able to summarise the paper in my own words without issues. (But not use any of their diagrams, unfortunately.)
